Service Opportunities
BVUUF Personnel Committee Members Wanted!
Do you have some experience in reviewing resumes, writing and submitting brief job descriptions and ads, interviewing possible new hires, or some knowledge of human resources? The Personnel Committee wants you! You don’t have to have to have a lengthy background in these areas because the pooled experience and knowledge always works well when committee members put their heads together.
The committee serves on an as-needed basis rather than on a regular monthly meeting schedule. Typically, committee members have worked closely with the minister, the office administrator, the music coordinator and/or the religious education director, depending on the actions needed to be taken. Additionally, the Personnel Committee has an advanced draft of a new personnel policy manual that committee members will complete together in the near future.
This committee is fun and very interesting! Please email Natalie Parker to let us know that you would like to join.
Now Accepting Applications for Worship Associates
WHAT IS A WORSHIP ASSOCIATE?
A Worship Associate is a member of our congregation who wants to work with Rev. Lydia for at least a year in a group of individuals to build worship that reaches our hearts, challenges our minds, and lifts our spirits.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
We are looking for a diverse group to continue to build this exciting, fulfilling program with Rev.Lydia. We need the Worship Associates to represent our Fellowship with a balance of gender, age, sexual orientation, and cultural/religious diversity. What is your religious background? Buddhist? Jewish? Christian? Humanist? ——-or all the shades of in-between that are sometimes held by Unitarian Universalists?
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
Be on board with two Worship Associate Trainings a year. The first training is Saturday, May 8th, from 8:30-3:30. Serve as a Worship Associate with Rev. Lydia, a guest minister, or with your colleagues to design and deliver meaningful worship
3-4 times a year. Attend the subsequent Worship Services Committee meeting (first Wed., 7:00) to provide reflection on the service you led.
HOW AND WHEN DO I APPLY?
Applications are available HERE on the website, through the BVUUF listserv, at the services on Sunday, Feb. 7, through the office, (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 303-665-4280, or through Sheila Brown, Worship Services Committee Chair)
Applications due by March 7 by e-mail to Sheila Brown, (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address))
or hard copy to the Worship Services Committee mailbox at the Fellowship.
HOW LONG DO WORSHIP ASSOCIATES SERVE?
A Worship Associate serves for one year with an option for two years. If two years are served, then the Associate takes a leave for one year before applying again, if they wish.

Urgent: Calling all Landscape Artists, Gardeners, and Outdoor Lovers
Kathy Partridge
Pitch in to keep our outdoor spaces neat and safe. This important service not only creates beautiful, peaceful and fun surroundings for our congregational home, but also saves BVUUF money that would be required in hiring groundskeeping staff. Project management skills and/or gardening knowledge are a plus for person(s) to coordinate the overall plan. This coordinator role is a leadership position of several hours per month, a year commitment would be desirable. Others with willing hands are needed to take on specific, limited duration tasks with flexible time commitments. To step up, contact Program Coordinating Council chair, Kathy Partridge.
